WHY A COORDINATOR?

In a world of “DIY” weddings and events, it’s hard to rationalize hiring a coordinator. I know many people are on a budget and want to cut corners in any way they can, but some words of advice from experience, DO NOT cut corners when it comes to a coordinator!

Let me paint this picture for you…

When my husband and I got married we were on a budget, so we decided to plan and do our own wedding. We came up with the design and did it all. We  had such a fun time over the months creating our perfect wedding. A couple weeks before the Big Day, I realized that the only one who knew the ins-and-outs of our wedding was me.  I don’t know about you, but I did NOT want to be the one setting up and coordinating my wedding on the DAY OF! So we decided to call on family and friends to help do what we couldn’t that day. Seemed like an inexpensive and resourceful decision, but in the end it was our biggest (and only) regret of our wedding. My mom and close friends had to be stressed and overloaded on our day rather than have time to spend with us in anticipation and celebration. Not to mention after the long emotional day they were stuck cleaning it up and figuring stuff out since we were long gone!

So, if you are having a hard time justifying hiring a coordinator, be at ease. You WANT a third-party person knowing the ins-and-outs of your events and running it all so you and your loved ones or guests can truly enjoy and enter into the celebration! We encourage and love DIY events, but once you’ve dreamt it up and have a plan in motion, let us take it over at the end so you can relax! …Or, if you’d like to put on a special and personalized event, but don’t have the time or ability to do so, we can help you from start to finish!
